Have you met our Property Manager Jeff Long? If you have, you know how much he loves our community at Winthrop and how passionate he about being our Property Manager. If you haven’t met him, we thought we would snag a quick interview with him recently.
Where are you originally from?
West Chester, PA. It will always be home!
How long have you worked for Winthrop/Bozzuto?
In June 2015 I will complete my 6th year with Bozzuto. I started working with the Winthrop team September 2014.
What is your favorite Winthrop amenity?
It should be the gym, but I’m not there nearly enough! I really love the game room, billiards and shuffle board are two of my favorite pub games. Also, with the kitchen and TV Lounge in the game room it makes for the perfect entertaining space.
Where is your favorite place to grab a bite around Winthrop?
This is a tough question, there are so many great spots in Towson. If I had to pick one I would pick Souris (pronounced Sources). It is small locally owned pub, right on the Towson circle. It has an extremely warm feel, it reminds of the show Cheers, when you walk in everyone says hi. The food is great too! They have great burgers and an awesome brunch!
What is your favorite kind of music or favorite group?
I really do enjoy all types of music with the exception of heavy metal. I grew up on classic rock. My dad always had bands like Van Morrison, Led Zepplin, Jackson Brown, Hall and Oates, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones playing. I could listen to classic rock all day and be happy. If I had to pick a favorite band today it would be a tossup between The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Foo Fighter and Bob Marley. It depends on the day and setting.
What do you love most about Winthrop Towson?
I love the community we are building at Winthrop. The residents that live here truly care about the community and work with the staff to make it the best possible community! Each new resident that moves in is welcomed with open arms. We have community events every month, we recently had trivia night in Studio W. Watching residents team together is the best part for the staff. Residents get to meet and grow relationships with each other at events like trivia that make Winthrop more than just an apartment building, it is a community where residents come together and have fun!
What is the first word that comes to mind to describe yourself?
Committed. I feel that when you start something you should put everything you have into it. I commit myself to do things correctly and to the best of ability the first time.
