Continuing with our “Meet Team Winthrop” posts, we were excited to sit down with our Assistant Property Manager Angela to find out what she loves about Winthrop Towson.
Where are you originally from?
I’m from Bel Air, MD and actually grew up driving to Towson as “the cool mall.” My family was thrilled when I was hired in Towson because I’m much closer to where I grew up. They also love an excuse to go shopping when they come to visit!
How long have you worked for Winthrop/Bozzuto?
I’ve been with Bozzuto for a year and a half, at the Winthrop since December.
What is your favorite Winthrop amenity?
My favorite Winthrop amenity is The WellBeats Fitness on Demand system. I love taking classes and WellBeats has traditional classes like yoga, but I’m also able to try something new like kickboxing.
Where is your favorite place to eat around Winthrop?
My favorite place to eat in Towson is 7 West Bistro. They have a Mediterranean/Greek influence and I love the way that they combine traditional greek dishes with contemporary american cuisine. It’s a really modern atmosphere and they have all kinds of events from Trivia Night, to dance classes, to open jazz nights!
What is your favorite kind of music or favorite group?
I’m one of those “I listen to all music” people. As long as you can either dance to it or sing along, I’m a fan.
What do you love about Winthrop?
My favorite thing about Winthrop. Hmmm. I would have to say the details. As an employee and a resident, I really do have the unique opportunity to see everything from both sides. As an employee, I’m able to really appreciate and understand everything that goes into our day to day operations and all of the thought and care placed upon every decision and property event. I absolutely love all the little touches here; the textured wall paper, the funky seating options, the retro lamps. I think that we have very inviting and modern decor. As a resident, I can actually enjoy the amenities on a day to day basis, and show the community off to my family and friends.
Winthrop is pet friendly, do you have a pet?
I do not technically have a pet…my roommate has a golden retriever, Tucker, so I like to say that I’m a proud partial-puppy-parent.
What is the first word that comes to mind to describe yourself?
A word that I would use to describe myself would be passionate. I care deeply for my friends and family, and that includes my Bozzuto family!
